2023–2024 Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowships in Canada Benefits:
- The Graduate Mobility Award at McGill offers graduate students financial support to study abroad while pursuing their degree, defraying the expense of their international experience.
- The maximum grant amount per year is $355,000, and it is renewable for two years.
- Also eligible for the DFW, or Differential Fee Waiver, are international students (DFW).
2023–2024 Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowships in Canada eligibility requirements
- Students accepted into the doctoral program at McGill University will receive Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowships, which will begin in the fall of 2023. Students enrolled in the program at the time of application or whose most recent degree was earned at McGill may not apply; however, former McGill students with degrees from other institutions may. Additionally, applicants who are attending McGill while completing requirements for another university are welcome.
- Students must have an outstanding academic record to be eligible for McGill. An individual must have earned an overall GPA of 3.7 (or 3.5 for law students) for each of the previous two (2) years of full-time study at the undergraduate and graduate levels to qualify for these purposes.
- Tomlinson scholars are eligible for half of the total Tomlinson Fellowship amount, up to $50,000 per year, if they receive federal or provincial grants from outside organizations to McGill.
Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowships Canada 2023–2024 Application Process:
The college or department where a candidate plans to enroll in classes must receive their application. It is best to get information about submission procedures directly from your department because internal submission deadlines occasionally differ from GPS deadlines.
The following papers should be submitted with a job application:

- External referees' letters should be sent directly to the applicant's academic department with comments on their potential and academic or research achievements.
- A statement of the proposed supervisor's thoughts on How the proposed project relates to the supervisor's research programs;
- sources of support funding; readily available assets like facilities, space equipment, and knowledge essential to success;
- What is the potential gain for society as a whole?
- certified copies of the university-level study and official transcripts (graduate as well as undergraduate)
- Both an admission form and a funding application are required of applicants.

Administrative Structure:
- Along with the deans of faculties in the various disciplinary disciplines, the dean of graduate and postdoctoral studies has administrative and academic oversight over graduate programs and postdoctoral research. They oversee both graduate and postdoctoral studies in their capacity as deans.
- Postdoctoral and graduate student affairs are overseen by the Associate Deans of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. They assist graduate students, postdocs, and their advisors in finding solutions to challenging problems. Additionally, each graduate student is supervised by one of these alumni. Associate Deans also participate on university committees and develop graduate programs and policies related to these fields of study.
